People Like Us

June 25, 2012

Tonight I went to see a screening of People Like Us. I loved this story of a complex situation of a man who just lost his so-called absentee father and is charged with giving $150 grand to a half-sister he never knew about. It’s less about the money and more about two people hating their father who they both didn’t even know and one of them trying to share this secret and how to break it to the other but in the process learning alot about himself. This movie drags on a little bit with quite a few slow parts and runs a little bit too long and the cast doesn’t help matters as some of them seem out of place as their chosen characters. As for the cast it seems very out of place and helps drag the movie out in parts where it shouldn’t. Overall I recommend this movie as the story is very entertaining and very easy to get into.
