Peace, Love & Misunderstanding

June 4, 2012

Tonight I went to see a screening Peace, Love & Misunderstanding. I never really went to see independent movies before I started going to see free screenings as I thought none of them made any sense or were very garbled and hard to follow. Well this movie started out rushed, garbled, and sort of hard to follow as it showed a mother who’s marriage had just fell apart rushing with her children to her hippie mothers commune where she had not been in 20 years but near the middle this movie comes together as the hippie roots of the mother and grandmother come together with her straight edge life and modern children who have problems of their own. Jane Fonda doesn’t do very many movies anymore but when she does she give an awesome performance and brings the best out of the movie. The rest of the cast does an amazing job with newcomer Elizabeth Olsen getting better and better with every lead role given to her. Overall this is a fun movie to go see if you like independent movies and wanna see a free loving movie.
